If you’ve ever looked at the URL for your Google My Business page, it’s ugly. Google is now rolling out a way for you to get a nice, clean URL for it, including an easier way to get reviews.

So right now, the URL for your Google My Business listing is long and awful. It works if you’re sending someone the link, but it’s quite unwieldy. With a change that is rolling out now, you can get a much shorter URL; it’ll still redirect the long one, but it’s a nice one to share.
Once the feature rolls out to you, you’ll be able to choose a new “short name” for your business, and your address will be g.page/yourname.
The new URLs also come with a secret to help you get more reviews as well. You can take that new address and put /review/ at the end of it (so like, g.page/yourname/review) and it will take people directly to the spot to leave a review for your company. Right now, finding that direct review link is nearly impossible; I use a tool that Bobby Kircher created that helps generate that address (you can find it a papayainternet.com under the “free tools” page), but this new feature from Google will make it much easier.
The feature is still rolling out now so you may not have access yet, but head into your Google My Business page, click on the “info” tab on the left, and look for “add profile short name” in there. If you don’t see it yet, you should in the coming days.
